Ethernet

Ethernet connections provide cost effective, high speed, point to point circuits that are permanently connected and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The connection provides a secure link that can be used to connect to the internet, to the PureBlue IT data centres or to other sites as part of the PureBlue IT IP-BVN solution.

Features:

High speed:
Different options are available to meet any requirement. Speeds available include 10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/s, 150 Mbit/s, 622 Mbit/s, 1Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s.

Quality of service enabled:
The Ethernet network can be used to carry voice and mission critical traffic. By prioritizing and queuing traffic by application type we can provide performance guarantees.

Centralised Internet Access:
All Ethernet connected sites can be provided with centralised internet access onto PureBlue IT's internet backbone. For security, a centrally managed firewall would be located within the PureBlue IT core network, removing the need for multiple firewalls. This gives the customer more control over security and internet use.

Centralised Services:
As our data centres are part of our core network, customers can locate their servers and applications in the secure environment within their VLAN

Off-site Backups:
The service can be used to provide access to PureBlue IT's SAN (Storage Area Network), providing secure and reliable off-site back-ups.
